The ICOM General Conference in Dubai 2025 is a landmark event focusing on the future of museums in rapidly changing communities. It aims to foster global dialogue on the evolving role of museums in society. The conference will be hybrid, enabling global participation, and will feature visionary speakers, expert-led masterclasses, and networking opportunities. The scientific program will interweave three sub-themes: ‘intangible heritage’, ‘youth power’, and ‘new technologies’. The conference will also offer an array of social and cultural events for an enhanced experience for all attendees.

The 27th ICOM General Conference will be held from 11 to 17 November 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE. It promises to explore dynamic aspects of modern museums, combining in-person and digital experiences with a robust programme that addresses preservation, adaptation, and innovation in the museum sector.
